The Yobe Government has said 9 people have died out of the 132 cases of cholera recorded in that state as at September 25.
The Yobe Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Mohammed Gana, said this in Damaturu this Friday.
Gana says the cases were reported in Gubja, Fune, Machina, Nangere and Nguru Local Government Areas and were confirmed after samples of the patients were tested at the National Disease Control Centre (NDCC) and the University of Maiduguri
Gana has appealed to all international, national and local partners to bring their full expertise to support the cholera response effort in Yobe state.
