President of the Nigeria Football Federation Ibrahim Gusau and Flying Eagles head coach Aliyu Zubairu have said the Nigerian U20 team need to set their sights on the U20 Africa Cup of Nations trophy.
Recall that Nigeria’s Flying Eagles secured a dramatic victory over defending champions Senegal on Monday night to book their place in the semi-finals of the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations and seal qualification for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
Zubairu, who guided his team through the group stages unbeaten, praised the squad’s growth and composure but stressed the job is not yet complete.
Also, Gusau insists that more is expected of the Flying Eagles, saying the country is waiting for them to bring the trophy back home.
