Two powerful earthquakes have struck the capital of Venezuela, Caracas, collapsing buildings and trapoing residents in heaps of rubbles.
Reports say the 2 earthquakes happened just seconds apart. The first one was a magnitude of 7.2 while with the second quake was a magnitude 7.5, making it one of the strongest tremors to hit the South American country in a century.
Rescuers are reportedly searching through the rubbles while Venezeula’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez has declared a state of emergency.
