The Police Command in Ogun says it has arrested a motorcycle rider, Kadir Owolabi, who was allegedly found in possession of three human skulls.
The command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, said this in Abeokuta this Tuesday,
Odutola says the skulls were found in his luggage during a routine stop and search operation conducted by police operatives at Ijebu Ode-Ibadan Expressway, on Monday.
She also said preliminary investigation subsequently led to the arrest of another suspect, 53 year old Jamiu Yisa, behind Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat.
Odutola said that the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, had directed the State Criminal Investigation Department to take over the case for discreet investigations.
The spokesperson says the command reiterated its commitment to decisive action against crime as she urged residents to cooperate with the police while assuring members of the public of trust, confidentiality, and identity protection.
