United States, U.S President, Donald Trump has issued a rare rebuke to Russia for the recent overnight air attack that killed 12 people in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv.
Trump made a social media post telling Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin to stop.
Trump insists that he is applying pressure on Putin to end the war; however, reports say the terms are more favourable to Russia; one of which includes the recognition of Moscow’s 2014 annexation of Crimea, something the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has said he cannot accept.
Meanwhile, Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov has said they are ready to “reach a deal” with the US on Ukraine, but says there are some elements of the deal that need to be fine-tuned.
