Soldiers of the Northeast Joint Task Force, Operation HADIN KAI, OPHK, have killed 25 Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters, and injured several others while repelling coordinated terrorist attacks in Borno State.
The Media Information Officer of the task force, Lt. Col. Sani Uba, said this to newsmen saying the terrorist attacks were launched on the night of February 20, 2026, but were swiftly repelled by the troops, although they lost one soldier.
Uba says terrorists attempted to infiltrate the Forward Operating Base, FOB, in Limankara, but alert troops engaged them in a fierce firefight, combining ground forces and air support.
Similarly, in Kukawa, he said terrorists launched a coordinated attack using gun trucks, motorcycles, and foot soldiers, approaching from multiple axes, but troops mounted a determined defense, supported by air strikes, which destroyed their vehicles and killed ten fighters.
He said troops also conducted precision operations in Lamusheri Village, Gujba LGA, a known terrorist hub and logistics base, killing 15 more terrorists and destroying their defensive structures.
