Tinubu Reaffirms Use of Diplomatic Measures in Mali, Niger, B’Faso

President Bola Tinubu has restated Nigeria’s commitment to exploring diplomatic means in solving the political crisis in Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso, despite the reluctance of the countries to bring out transition programmes with clear dates.

According to the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu, who is the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State, said this when he received the President of Germany, Frank–Walter Steinmeier, in a state visit at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

President Tinubu assured that innocent citizens will not be made to bear the brunt of the actions of military regimes as he will continue to allow free movement and trade.
