President Bola Tinubu and his counterpart in Rwanda, President Paul Kagame have resolved to activate mechanisms to deepen bilateral relations between Nigeria and Rwanda.
The presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, announced this on Wednesday saying President Tinubu met with Kagame at the Urugwiro Presidential Villa upon his arrival in Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum.
Onanuga says both leaders emphasized the importance of reviving the Joint Permanent Ministerial Commission (JPMC), originally signed by both countries in 2021, as a vital platform for advancing their shared objectives.
President Tinubu also said that Nigeria will seriously consider reciprocating Rwanda’s 30-day visa-free policy for Nigerians in the spirit of Pan-Africanism.
