Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons, will participate in the West African Football Union (WAFU B) Four-Nation Tournament as part of preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco

NFF Director of Competitions, Ruth David, said that the super falcons have accepted an invitation from the WAFU B Secretariat to compete in the preparatory tournament, which will feature four West African teams qualified for WAFCON 2026.

David confirmed that the tournament will take place in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from February 27 to March 7 2026, serving as a build-up to the continental showpiece scheduled for March 17 to April 3 2026.

The participating nations are hosts Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal.
