The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP) has suspended its planned three-day warning strike, which was scheduled to commence this Wednesday.
The National Secretary of SSANIP, Nura Gaya, said this to Newsmen this Wednesday, saying the strike was suspended after a meeting set up by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.
Gaya says the meeting, which was chaired by the Minister of Labour and Employment, had key stakeholders in attendance, including representatives from the National Board for Technical Education, the Federal Ministry of Education, and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.
Gaya says the stakeholders signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the end of the session, and the government reaffirmed its commitment to addressing SSANIP’s concerns.
