The Senate on Tuesday passed a bill amending the Court of Appeal Act, 2013, to increase the number of justices of the court from 90 to 110.
The passage followed a report presented by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Judiciary and Legal Matters, Opeyemi Bamidele.
Opeyemi, while presenting the report, told the lawmakers that the intent of the amendment of the Court of Appeal Act is to ensure that the court has the requisite manpower to provide for the creation of more divisions of the court.
