Rivers Court Restrains APC From Conducting Congresses

Rivers court restrains APC from conducting congresses

The High Court of Rivers State, has granted a temporary order restraining the All Progressives Congress (APC) from conducting elective congresses in that state.

The court presided over by Justice Godswill Obomanu restrained *the* APC from organizing or conducting elective congresses until the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.

The ruling followed a claim by Okwu Ndiike, Peace Oganu, and Samuel Uchegbule that  they were denied participation in the party’s nomination process despite paying for forms.

The court ordered the APC’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, and other officials to maintain the status quo until the case is concluded.

The matter has been adjourned to December 3, 2024, for further hearing.
