The Rivers State House of Assembly has asked the Rivers state Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, to sack all the commissioners in the state within 48 hours, and to sack of other appointees not properly screened by the lawmakers
The house led by its speaker, Martin Amaewhule, made the demand in a letter after a meeting on Wednesday
They also ordered Governor Fubara to submit a new list of nominees for appointment as commissioners within 48 hours.
Recall that the House had also issued Fubara an ultimatum to re-present the 2025 Rivers State budget and Fubara, said he would adhere to the House’s ultimatum regarding the budget re-presentation.
