President Tinubu Appoints Bianca Ojukwu as Minister of Foreign Affairs

Following the resignation of former minister Yusuf Tuggar, President Bola Tinubu has appointed Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Nigeria’s new Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, announced the appointment on Wednesday, saying that in the same vein, the President nominated Sola Enikanolaiye as the new Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, subject to Senate confirmation.

Recall that Tuggar recently stepped down to participate in the 2027 elections, paving the way for Odumegwu-Ojukwu who previously served as Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Also, until his nomination, Enikanolaiye, who hails from Kogi State, served as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations.
