Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has said President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja this Monday, for a state visit to the Republic of Türkiye.
Onanuga announced this on Sunday via his official X handle saying the visit is aimed at strengthening the existing cordial relations between the two countries and exploring further areas of cooperation.
He said the visit is also a reciprocal gesture to an earlier state visit to Nigeria by the Turkish President, Recep Erdogan, in October 2021.
Onanuga says the agenda of the visit includes meetings between high-ranking officials of both nations and the signing of memoranda of understanding in scientific research, energy, technical cooperation, media and communications, military cooperation and protocol, among others.
