The former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi ,has described the concurrence of Lent and Ramadan this Wednesday February 18 2026,as “a rare spiritual convergence to cherish and revere.”
Obi says that it is a symbol of shared sacrifice and reflection, at a time our collective identity has been strained by ineffective governance.”
He urged Nigerians to use the period not only for prayers, but also for action.
Similarly the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, extended his greetings to Muslim faithful in that state, wishing them a time filled with peace and reflection.
