The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Damagum, has said that details from the party’s national caucus meeting which ended late on Sunday night will be disclosed in todays’ National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting

Damagum said this to newsmen after the meeting saying the details of the decisions reached would be made public during the NEC meeting scheduled to hold this Monday.

However, reports say uncertainty still lingers over the fate of the planned National Convention.

The party’s National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, is yet to sign the notification letter to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which is a step required before the convention can be confirmed.

PDP sources say it is one of the issues to be discussed at the NEC meeting today. Other key issues expected on the agenda include the presentation of the zoning committee report, led by Bayelsa State Governor Duoye Diri, for ratification, as well as disciplinary measures against party leaders accused of anti-party activities.
