A former deputy governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chris Ekpenyong, has blamed the weakness of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the behaviour of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, who threatened to ignite crises in states under PDP governors.
Ekpenyong said this to newsmen in Uyo on Sunday, saying Wike would not have dared to behave that way under the old PDP, saying it was stronger.
He says the PDP was built on social justice and fairness, saying its leaders were always the desire of the people but the PDP has been hijacked by governors and the leadership no longer comes from the people.
