Abia state Governor Alex Otti’s Chief Press Secretary, Ukoha Njoku, has debunked reports that the governors’ convoy was attacked by gunmen on his way to the Sam Mbakwe airport in Owerri.
Njoku clarified this Tuesday, saying that it was the governors’ advance team of three members, who were attacked by unknown gunmen between Umuowa and Ihitte junction, on their way to the airport.
He said the governor’s convoy was not involved, and that no life was lost in the incident.
