The Ondo State Police Command has arrested two suspects and recovered a stolen Toyota Camry in Akure, Ondo State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Abayomi Jimoh, disclosed this Tuesday that the breakthrough followed the investigation of a case of conspiracy, stealing, and receiving stolen property.
Abayomi said the case was reported on February 27, 2026, by one Adeyemi Robert, who stated that the car was stolen on February 14, while he attended a social event and parked the car in front of the venue.
He also said detectives immediately commenced an investigation into the matter, deploying intelligence gathering and other investigative strategies to recover the stolen vehicle and apprehend those responsible.
The Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Adebowale Lawal, commended the operatives for their diligence, while reiterating the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state.
