Former National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Iyiola Omisore, has declared his support for the party’s plan to pick one consensus candidate for the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
He declared his support on Television on Wednesday evening, saying he accepted the decision following guidance from President Bola Tinubu.
Omisore, who was among seven aspirants disqualified by the APC Screening Committee for alleged violations of party guidelines and electoral provisions, said the party must follow the guidance of its leader which is the president.
He also promised to formally brief his supporters on the development as he also stressed the need for the APC to refine its strategy ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship election.
