Super eagles and Nottingham Forest defender, Ola Aina, will be sidelined for up to three months due to injury.

This is coming after he picked up a hamstring injury while in action for Nigeria against Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Tuesday in their world cup qualifying match.

He will now miss Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho, and Benin Republic in October as well as the international friendly with Venezuela in November.

He could however return to action before the start of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in December.
