The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Rivers State, Tony Okocha has called on the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara to resign or face impeachment.
Okocha made the call at a news briefing in Port Harcourt this Monday, a few hours after Fubara’s invitation of the 27 lawmakers to a meeting.
Recall that Fubara invited the recently reinstated 27 lawmakers to a reconciliatory meeting scheduled for this Monday, to discuss matters concerning their seats and the 2025 budget.
However, Okocha insists that Fubara disrespected President Bola Tinubu and abused the rule of law, saying the only option available to the governor Fubara now is for him to resign or be impeached.
Okocha says the Supreme Court has already exposed the alleged wrongdoings of the governor and as such there is no need for further investigation or meetings.
