A Factional Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Okechukwu Isiguzoro has urged Igbos to mark the 2024 Igbo Day as a time of solemn reflection and remembrance of its fallen heroes.
Isiguzoro said this, this Friday, saying Igbos should observe a minute silence at noon this Friday to honour fallen heroes of the Southeast as part of activities to mark this year’s Igbo day celebrations.
Isiguzoro, and the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, Alexander Okemiri, say the theme of this year’s celebration is “Ozoemela.”
They urge Igbos to observe the 2024 Igbo Day is observed as a prayer conference, saying the prayer will span all worship centers worldwide, commencing with Igbo Global Muslims this Friday, followed by Sabbath Day worshippers on Saturday, and then the Igbo Christian faithfuls on Sunday, September 29.
