The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has vowed to step up its regulatory supervision of private security guard companies in Anambra state.
The Head of Media and Tactical at the Anambra State Command of the NSCDC, Okadigbo Edwin, told newsmen this Wednesday, that the Anambra NSCDC State Commandant, Maku Olatunde, made the promise when he hosted the Anambra State Chapter of the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria in Awka.
Edwin says it is necessary for private security companies to operate professionally, update their records and build cordial relationships with the NSCDC and other conventional security agencies.
He promised to enhance the activities of private security guard companies and flush out quacks and unlicensed security operators in the state to ensure the enforcement of regulatory standards.
