The Anambra State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said it will be collaborating with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to arrest and prosecute any individual or group of persons who extort prospective candidates ahead of the commencement of 2026 JAMB registration.

 

The Anambra State Commandant of the NSCDC, Maku Olatunde, while receiving the JAMB State Coordinator, Dinah Obiano, who paid a visit to the NSCDC State Command Headquarters Awka on Thursday, says the command will deploy massively to various registration centres not only to secure your facilities but to ensure that prospective candidates are not extorted.

 

Olatunde acknowledged the synergy between NSCDC and JAMB, which has yielded positive results in curbing examination malpractice, closure of non-accredited registration centres, and apprehending of syndicates exploiting prospective candidates during registration.

 

Meanwhile, Dinah says all necessary provisions have been made to ensure that the 2026 examination is conducted in a serene environment across the State.
