NPF Arrests Contractor For 1.0 Billion Naira Fraud In Enugu

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has said that a contractor has been arrested for perpetuating a ₦1.09 billion procurement fraud in Enugu State.

The NPF Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi said this to newsmen this Friday, saying that the money was recovered from the contractor after an arrest.

Adejobi says there was no hacking of the Enugu State Government’s account, saying the allegations of theft amounting to N1.09 billion are entirely baseless.

He says the case, which was investigated by the NPF-National Cyber Crime Centre was a case of procurement fraud, not a cyber-breach, saying citizens should always verify the credibility of news sources rather than engage in misinformation.
