Senators from the 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, under the Northern Senators Forum, NSF, have condemned the recent violent attacks in Kwara, Katsina and Benue states, describing it as unacceptable and deeply disturbing.
The Chairman of the forum, Abdulaziz Yar’Adua, said this on Thursday, expressing the senators’ deepest condolences to the governments and people of the affected states over the attacks, that has reportedly claimed more than 130 lives.
the senators urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by reporting suspicious activities they also plead to the Federal Government to step up the recruitment of security personnel to stop the security challenges.
The forum further assured the affected states of it’s commitment to support efforts aimed at addressing the root causes of insecurity and promoting national stability.
