Njoku Addresses Rift with Soludo, Says It Might Affect Upcoming Election

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Anambra, APGA, Edozie Njoku, has said Anambra state governor, Charles Soludo, cannot impose himself on the party.

Njoku said this in a television interview on Wednesday, as he addressed the crisis rocking APGA and his rift with Soludo.

Njoku dismissed rumours that he plans to scuttle the second term ambition of the governor Soludo in 2025, however, he admitted that their conflict might affect the party’s fortunes in the coming governorship election

Recall that the party has been embroiled in a leadership crisis as both Sylvester Ezeokenwa and Njoku are claiming to be the APGA Chairman.

Ezeokenwa was elected as APGA Chairman in May 2023 after an elective convention was held in Awka, Anambra state.

However, in July 2024, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recognized Edozie Njoku as the national chair of APGA. The electoral body said it relied on a court order to do so.
