The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted dust haze and thunderstorms from this Thursday, 22nd January to Saturday, 24th January 2026, across the country.
NiMet announced this in its latest weather outlook, released on Wednesday in Abuja, forecasting slight dust haze this Thursday over parts of Kebbi, Zamfara, Sokoto, Yelwa, Katsina, Kano, Bauchi, and Gombe States in the northern region.
NiMET predicted sunny skies with a few patches of clouds for the southern region, with prospects of morning thunderstorms accompanied by light rain over Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Bayelsa States.
It also predicted thunderstorms with light rain over parts of Bayelsa, Lagos, Cross River, Ogun, Ondo, Abia, Imo, Rivers, Delta, and Akwa Ibom States.
