The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has commenced a five-day warning strike today, following the expiration of its fresh ultimatum to the Federal Government over unpaid allowances, salary arrears and unresolved welfare issues.
The Secretary-General of the association, Oluwasola Odunbaku, confirmed the commencement of the strike this Friday.
Odunbaku says the association is embarking on the industrial action owing to the government’s inaction on their long-standing demands.
He also commended members of the association for their continued cooperation and understanding, while stating that further updates will be communicated in due course.
