The Nigerian Army said it carried out a nationwide offensive between November 29 and December 1, 2025, where they killed eight terrorists, arrested 51 suspects, rescued 27 victims, and seized weapons and other illegal items.
The Nigerian Army said this on its X handle this Tuesday, saying that troops from the 151, 152, and 192 Task Force Battalions in Borno state, killed four ISWAP/JAS terrorists, recovered ammunitions and other military equipment, while also preventing infiltration attempts around Chibok.
It also said that in Plateau, Taraba, Benue, Kogi, and Kaduna States, troops under Operation Whirl Stroke and Operation Enduring Peace rescued 20 victims, including women and children, arresting suspected kidnappers, human traffickers, illegal miners, cultists, and the like. In the South-South region, they shut down an illegal oil refining site and arrested 25 drug suspects during joint operations with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
The Nigerian Army further reaffirmed its commitment to protecting citizens and ensuring that criminals, terrorists, and their collaborators have no safe haven in the country.
