The Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF, has commiserated with the Niger State Government on the flood, which has claimed many lives in the Mokwa Local Government Area of the state.
The NGF chairman, AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq, said this on Friday, while commiserating with Governor Usman Bago, the government, and the people of the state for the loss of lives and property.
Abdulrazaq says the governor said that the flood reminds them of the stark realities of climate change and accompanying effects on how they live.
It would be recalled that at least 21 people had died and properties worth millions of Naira had been damaged by the flood which ravaged Mokwa in the state.
