Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has announced plans to recruit over 1,000 youths into the community security outfit in the state, Operation Rainbow.
The Directorate of Press said this on X this Monday, saying Governor Mutfwang made the pledge on Sunday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Jos, during the commencement of the 2025/2026 Legal Year.
Mutfwang says the youths who will be posted back to their communities as both the first and last line of defense, to complement conventional security agencies
The governor also reflected on the states’ judiciary’s challenges, while also commending judicial officers for their resilience despite resource limitations.
He announced that steps have been taken to improve the welfare of retired judges including the payment of their outstanding entitlements.
