The president of the Nigeria Referees Association, Sanni Zubair, has reacted to the snub, on why the Confederation of African Football, again, did not invite any Nigerian referee for the preparatory course ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
He admitted that the arbiters from Nigeria didn’t meet up with CAF’s requirements for the tournament, saying the country has only one elite referee who could have made the cut.
However he assured that the NRA is working with the Nigeria Football Federation to have as many elite referees as possible in the country.
