Interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, has said that the new coalition has no favorite presidential candidate.
Following reports that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi, former Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amechi, amongst others, were frontrunners for the party’s ticket for the 2027 election.
Mark emphasized that all party members were equal stakeholders, assuring Nigerians that the party will maintain complete transparency under his leadership.
Recall ADC’s 2023 presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu, had accused the Mark-led interim leadership of the party of being biased in favour of Atiku, saying that the ambitions of the three contenders could divide the party.
