LP, NNPP, PDP Differ On Merger Talks
Major opposition parties have denied being approached by the presidential flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 ELECTIONS, Atiku Abubakar, or any of his loyalists with regard to the rumoured merger.

A spokesman for Labour Party’s (LP’s) presidential campaign organisation, Tanko Yunusa, and the National Publicity Secretary of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Ladipo Johnson, said this to newsmen, saying they are not in any merger talks with the PDP.

The Deputy National spokesman for the PDP, Ibrahim Abdullahi, told newsmen that the three leading opposition figures in Nigeria, including LP, PDP, and NNPP, were discussing the possibility of a merger to save Nigerians from hunger and insecurity ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
