Britain’s officials say its Heathrow airport was shut down early this Friday after a major fire at an electricity substation cut power to it.
Airport authorities said this to newsmen this Friday, saying the airport would be closed until just before midnight this Friday.
They say they expect significant disruption over the coming days, with hundreds of flights and thousands of passengers affected, saying Heathrow is experiencing a significant power outage.
The officials say passengers should not travel to the airport under any circumstances until the airport reopens.
