Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has signed a new two-year contract with the club
Recall that Van Dijk had reached the final season of his previous deal, which was due to expire in the summer of 2025.
But reports say he has now signed a 2-year deal extending his seven year contract which he signed in 2018 when he left Southampton for Liverpool.
Van Dijk has so far played almost 300 games for the Reds and has already won the Premier League and the Champions League.
Reacting to the contract extension, Van Dijk said he never had any doubt that Liverpool is the place to be for him and his family.
