Nine Palestinian Americans have sued the U.S. government, saying that it has failed to rescue them or members of their families who are trapped in Gaza.
The lawsuit accuses the State Department of discriminating against Americans of Palestinian origin by abandoning them.
It is the second case against the U.S. government this week after Palestinian families sued the U.S. State Department on Tuesday over Washington’s support for Israel’s military.
A U.S. State Department spokesperson says that the department does not comment on pending litigation, saying that the safety and security of American citizens around the world is a “top priority.”
