The Lagos State Government has seized 70 commercial motorcycles during a routine clean-up enforcement across major restricted routes on the Island axis of the state.
The Lagos Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, said this Thursday, that the operation was carried out on Wednesday, following the highway ban on commercial motorcycles, street trading, illegal parking, unapproved bus stops, and other activities disrupting public safety.
He said the exercise covered Falomo Underbridge, Marina, Coastal Road, Ajah Roundabout, Abraham Adesanya Junction, 2nd Rainbow amongst others
He said the seventy (70) motorcycles confiscated will be forfeited to the state through the courts in line with the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law, 2018.
