The Kogi State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has suspended a former Senator from that state, Dino Melaye from the party.
The Ward Chairman, Abayomi Osamika told newsmen that the resolution to suspend Melaye was taken by the Ward party executive committee after considering the report of the disciplinary committee set up to investigate alleged anti-party activities against him.
Osamika says the PDP concluded that Melaye’s recent actions were deemed detrimental to the party’s interests and unity, prompting the suspension.
He says Melaye’s suspension demonstrates the PDP’s commitment to maintaining party discipline and unity.
