The Nigeria Police Force has said that there was inconsistency in police communication regarding the abduction of worshippers in Kurmin Wali, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Recall that after reports of the abduction emerged on Sunday, the police initially denied the attack, however, they later reversed their position, admitting that the incident “did occur” and that many people were kidnapped.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, granted an interview on Wednesday explaining that as soon as the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Rabiu, got wind of the report, he deployed operatives to the scene of the attack and they were yet to get any evidence hence the initial denial.

He said the moment they got evidence of the attack they made it known to the public and so this means there was no inconsistency in their communication.
