A member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has said that former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has not ruled out the possibility of returning to the All Progressives’ Congress (APC).
Jibrin, who is also a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), said this during a television interview on Wednesday evening saying Kwankwaso has always maintained that his doors are open for discussions.
However, he also said some stakeholders in the Kano APC are opposed to Kwankwaso’s entry, particularly those with governorship ambitions.
Nonetheless, Jibrin says discussions on Kwankwaso’s political alignment are still ongoing, while emphasizing that his own position has always been to promote stability and support a government of national unity.
