Israel has denied a report from Amnesty International accusing it of committing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Israel’s foreign ministry denied the report this Thursday saying it was fabricated, entirely false and based on lies as it described Amnesty International as a deplorable and fanatical organisation
Instead, Israel says Hamas’s unprecedented October 7, 2023 attack on Israel was “genocidal” also saying that Israel is only now defending itself, acting fully in accordance with international law.
According to the report from Amnesty, its findings were based on “dehumanising and genocidal statements by Israeli government and military officials”, satellite images documenting devastation, fieldwork and ground reports from Gazans.
Amnesty says its 300-page report is a “wake-up call” for the international community, as it urged countries to stop transferring weapons to Israel.
