Iran’s foreign ministry has said that the United States is not serious about pursuing diplomacy.
The spokesman of the ministry, Esmaeil Baqaei, said this in a weekly press briefing this Monday.
He said the United States attack on an Iranian cargo ship early this Monday, the US naval blockade on Iranian ports, and delays in implementing a ceasefire in Lebanon were all clear violations of the ceasefire.
Recall that Iran has been at war with Israel and the United States since February 28, when strikes killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, triggering a conflict that has engulfed the region.
Meanwhile, US President, Donald Trump, says he has ordered US negotiators to travel to Pakistan this Monday to hold another round of talks, but Iran is yet to confirm its attendance.
