IPOB Disowns Simon Ekpa, Blames Him for Insecurity in South East

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said Simon Ekpa is not a member of the group.

The IPOB spokesperson, Emma Powerful said this to newsmen this Friday, following the Finland government’s arrest and detention of Ekpa, who identifies himself as the Prime Minister of Biafra.

Powerful says Ekpa is not a registered member of the group’s chapter in Finland and cannot be the leader of the IPOB.

He says Ekpa recruited violent criminals to destabilize the South East region since 2021, saying his actions are in opposition to the mission of the IPOB’s leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who established the IPOB as a peaceful group to seek Biafra independence.
