INEC Declares APC's Aiyedatiwa Winner Of Ondo Guber

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the incumbent Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the winner of Ondo governorship election.

The Ondo State Returning Officer, Olayemi Akinwumi, made the announcement on Sunday, saying Aiyedatiwa secured a total of 366,781 votes, defeating the People’s Democratic Party PDP’s Agboola Ajayi, who had 117,845 votes.

The re-election of Aiyedatiwa has caused controversy, with the PDP rejecting the results and alleging electoral fraud.

The National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Debo Ologunagba, described the election as a sham, saying the APC engaged in vote-buying, intimidation, and other manipulative tactics to suppress voters’ will.

However, INEC has disagreed with the PDP saying the election was free, fair and credible.
