The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has said that the former Chief of Naval Staff, Jibrin Usman, and former Brigadier-General, Ishaya Bauka, remain on its wanted list over their alleged involvement in a N3 billion fraud.
The Commission’s spokesperson, Demola Bakare, said this to newsmen this Friday, saying claims that both officials have been exonerated after the amendment of charges against them are false.
Bakare says that the charges were only amended and not withdrawn, saying the two former military officers are still fugitives.
He says there is an arrest warrant for them, saying members of the public should assist law enforcement to arrest them.
Bakare says they were initially charged alongside five others, saying though the charges were served through their legal representatives, they failed to present themselves for arraignment, which led to the issuance of a bench warrant for their arrest.
