Director of the Public Authority of Civil Aviation of Kuwait, Humoud Al-Sabah, has confirmed that Kuwait International Airport has begun operations on Thursday 23rd April 2026.
Humoud made this known in a media briefing, saying that the decision was made in coordination with relevant international authorities to ensure the resumption of operations is in accordance with safety and security standards.
He also said that the Authority has completed its assessment of the damages on some parts of the airport facilities following repeated attacks by the Iranian and the actions of its delegates and affiliated armed groups.
Our Correspondent, Emmanuel Nnaji, reports that Humoud clarified that the initial phase of operations will include specific stations, prioritized according to operational needs that guarantee the safety of operations.
